نرم افزار HEC-HMS یا Hydrologic Modeling System یا سیستم شبیه سازی هیدرولوژی و مدل عددی است و با استفاده از این مدل می‌توان در یک حوضة آبخیز مسائل مربوط به روان آب و روندیابی جریان که شامل موضوعات وسیعی مثل بررسی رفتار سازه‌های آبی، رودخانه و پیش‌بینی جریان را کامل انجام داد. مهندسین آب از این مدل به شکل وسیعی استفاده می‌کنند.
